Illustration, assignment by Annika first sketches

The first photo underneath here is the result of the assignment during class and the photos after that one are sketches which I am going to combine into one final piece. Because I want to do more with illustration and also learn more about Illustrator, I decided that I want to create some sort of poster/artwork in a cartoony style combined with a lot of small icons. Why?

Well, the answer is really simple, I have never done such a thing before so I'm really curious how it will turn out. Maybe it's a bit unclear, but keep an eye out for my final piece on my blog and things will get clear to you I promise.
